Facilities Manager
Summary: Responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of all city-owned and leased facilities, managing budgets, coordinating repairs, supporting infrastructure investment decisions, and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant building operations in collaboration with various departments.
Wage Information: The expected hiring range is $68,358.14 - $75,789.89 DOE (the full salary range is $68,358.14 – $90,014.61).
Vehicle Equipment Technician
Summary: Mechanic with automotive repair experience, a CDL, and basic tools.
Wage Information: Starting pay is $27.63 per hour.
Firefighter
Summary: Respond to emergencies, extinguish fires, and provide medical aid to protect life and property.
Wage Information: Start with a base salary of $53,377.35 + Stipends and Allowances
Patrol Officer
Summary: Protect citizens, enforce laws, and ensure public safety.
Wage Information: Starting wage is $30.19 per hour for lateral entry.
Administrative Specialist
Summary: Provide administrative support to the City Clerk’s Office, ensuring compliance with policies and ordinances while delivering exceptional customer service.
Wage Information: Starting pay is $24.55 per hour.
Code Enforcement Officer
Summary: Ensures compliance with city ordinances by investigating complaints, conducting inspections, coordinating with various departments, and enforcing regulations related to zoning, land use, and public nuisances.
Wage Information: The expected hiring range is $59,152.53 - $63,365.66 DOE (the full salary range is $59,152.53 – $77,892.58).
Equipment Operator
Summary: Responsible for operating heavy machinery and performing complex construction and maintenance tasks.
Wage Information: Starting pay is $25.28 per hour.
Communications & Special Project Coordinator-DDA
Summary: Supports the Traverse City Downtown Development Authority through content creation, marketing, event coordination, and special project management to promote downtown development and community engagement.
Wage Information: Salary starts at $45,000, with adjustments based on expererience.
