The Traverse City Fire Department is responsible for providing all emergency life safety services within the City limits. This includes such activities as fire attack and suppression, Medical Advanced Life support, Water Rescue and Hazardous Materials situations, and other emergency/rescue services. The Traverse City Fire Department also provides non-emergency services such as inspections, code enforcement, and Public Education programs.
